Circus Image is a circus training school based
at Muizenberg High School in Cape Town, South Africa.
This school was founded in July 2000 because of the interest shown by a
number of the local school pupils and neighbourhood children.
A mini flying trapeze rig was erected on the school ground and that was
the start of what has become one of the biggest circus training schools in
South Africa.
The school trainers all come from professional circus backgrounds and
they are headed up by Keith Anderson, who for many years ran the
world-famous "Hi-Fli Flying Trapeze School", which was based at
the YMCA in Observatory, Cape Town.
The school relies largely on donations from corporations and fees from
its members. The maintenance and expansion of the school is
dependent on fees being paid regularly, as well as active participation in
fund-raising activities, such as the live performances which we put on
from time to time. |
